| Last year MTCOA
members voted to support Project: Home For a Hero with
the assistance and participation of the ICC Foundation. The
Project has launched for Veteran Kevin Downs in Kingston Springs,
Cheatham County. |
| |
| Kevin was badly
burned, lost both legs and most of the use in one arm in a road side
bomb. (Read the
details) (Link takes you off this site) The rest of his team were killed. Kevin navigates with an
electronic wheel chair and is working hard to be independent in his
home. |

I
am happy to report that our new South Cheatham Advocate Newspaper
website is up and more and more is being put there everyday. If you go
to www.SCAdvocate.com you will
see a link on the Home Page to
Kevin’s Story.
Once there click on “Bringing Home a Hero” and you will be taken to the
most recent updates on this beautiful effort.
After
selecting this link, on the resulting page, look to the lower left
little more than half way down and select "Kevin's Story." Don't
miss the additional pages with more photos and news story archives
available relevant to "Kevin's Story." See the links at the top of
that page. |
