| Regarding Region 8 - From Denny Boss |

| On January 19, 2007 I attended a Region VIII meeting in Greenville, SC. The By-Laws committee met and made some additional changes to the by-laws. Most were minor editorial in nature but one gave the board power to change the by-laws but any changes would have to be approved by the membership at the annual meeting, another regards payment of dues. Dues are due on January 1st and delinquent after March 1st. The change imposes a $10.00 late fee. As soon as I get a clean copy of the By-Laws I will send them to others for distribution. Until then keep in mind I am sending this from memory and I reserve the right to be wrong. |

| The code committee also met and discussed purposed code
changes and who might be able to attend the code hearings. If you have comments
about any code changes or if you are going to be able to attend the hearings
contact Rick Shepherd. |

| The next meeting will be in Gatlinburg on Saturday April
21, 2007. More information on this will be forth coming with information
regarding the TBOA Conference that starts April 22, 2007 in Gatlinburg. |

| The Region VIII treasury reported a balance of $2,950.40.
I asked the secretary how many members we had and the estimate was about 150. So
I have attached a membership form and encourage you to become an
individual member. The cost is only $10.00 per year. A
small price to pay for what in the future, as Region VII continues to grow, we
will get in return. Tennessee should be able to double the Region VIII
membership by the next meeting. When I see you in Gatlinburg and ask if you are
a Region VIII member I hope your answer is yes. |

| Region VIII has two training days that they must use this
year and they have to be used together. The education committee was asked to
examine locations and class topics and report back to the board. If you have any
suggestions please send them to me to present to the committee. |
